The purple fruit snake is a native to the planet Vergon 6 which can eat whole people. It is one of the Vergonian species the Planet Express crew needed to save from extinction in the year 3000 (1ACV04). Unfortuantly, Nibbler ate it along with the other animals.

- A green fruit snake appears in US#054, but the species went extinct in 1ACV04.
- However, maybe there are different colours of fruit snakes, and only the purple one became extinct.
- It was probably brought back with the other extinct species by The Last Encyclopod.
